about the writer

Hi! Thanks for taking a look at my carrd. I'm Griff, a chronic high fantasy lover and a huge lesbian. My preferred RP is built on the relationships between characters and how they develop and affect one another. I'm not interested in romance RP or ERP on any character. I won't judge other writers who do, I just don't offer that to the public, myself.I consider my writing style lore-expansive. I write generally lore-abiding characters, but I'm very positive about headcanon that builds out the world, reworks bigoted lore, or solves plot holes for specific characters.I use variable post sizes based on situation. I try to stick to shorter posts in group RP, but I enjoy para to multi para in 1 on 1 scenes. I also love to write and DM events. I prefer light, roleplay-centric systems.Themes that interest me include gender / sexuality, feminine horror, poetry, societal pressures, duty / temptation, and gothic lit. I also love high-power magical shenanigans, but I'll always aim low unless we've discussed.If that sounds interesting to you, I'm generally available for RP after 5PM CST on weekdays, and anytime on weekends. what i look for

I look for specific things in other writers. I'm an adult and only write with others over 18. I love to make OOC friends, but I expect other roleplayers to understand that I'm not my character. I expect OOC discussion if you're uncertain about something, and I try to give that courtesy back.The rest should be a given, but it's worth saying explicitly. I expect fellow writers to not bring OOC stereotypes into RP. In specific...I do not write with characters whose writers label them as futa / trap / f+ / cboy / etc. There are no exceptions.I don't let folks project homophobic narratives onto my OCs. I write varied, nuanced trans and gender-nonconforming characters because I have to cook my own food if I want to eat it. In xiv rp, I've often seen aggressive, sexual stereotypes of gnc people, and had others treat my characters like that regardless of who they are. Please be aware and be nice!Similarly, I'm a white writer playing a varied cast, and I don't let other writers project racist stereotypes onto my characters. I don't want to do this either: I'm always down for criticism of my designs or writing if I could improve.
